# Crochet White Floral Dress Free Crochet Pattern

Oh, this dress. The moment I finished the last flower I just stood there holding it up like, “Is this really mine?” There is something about white yarn at Christmas — it catches the light like fresh snow, and those little floral motifs look like snowflakes that decided to bloom instead of melt.
I worked this one from the top down in the Irish lace spirit: a smooth single-crochet yoke and bodice, then a skirt with openwork mesh rounds, and finally a whole flutter of little flowers sewn on by hand. Pair it with a long cardigan for Christmas morning or a cozy sweater for dinner — either way, you will look like the best part of winter.
What You’ll Need
- Worsted-weight yarn in white (about 800 yards for size S/M), plus a small amount of soft green for the flower centers
- Size H (5.00 mm) crochet hook
- Tapestry needle
- Stitch markers
Finished size: Bust 32″, waist 30″, hips 34″, length 38″ (size S/M). The yoke is worked with a wide boat neckline.

Flowers (make 14)
With white, make a magic ring.

Round 2: *(Sl st in next st, ch 2, 2 dc in same st, ch 2, sl st in same st)* in each st around. (8 petals)
Fasten off, leaving a long tail. With green, stitch a small French knot in the center of each flower.
Sew 10 flowers evenly around the hemline just above Round 96, and 4 flowers across the front yoke.
Neckline Edging
Join white yarn at the back neckline.
Round 1: Ch 1, sc in each of the 140 sts around, join.
Round 2: *(Ch 3, sl st in next 2 sts)* around for a picot edge. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Sophie’s Tips
- Block the skirt before sewing on the flowers — those mesh rounds open up beautifully and the hem hangs so much nicer.
- Keep your flower tails long when you fasten off; you will use them to sew each bloom on, no extra thread needed.
- If white feels risky around holiday cooking, this dress is stunning in soft cream or pale blush too.
Go be the snowflake that blooms, friend — Merry Christmas!
