Rainbow Pastel Jellyfish Keychain Free Crochet Pattern

Rainbow pastel jellyfish keychain

# Rainbow Pastel Jellyfish Keychain Free Crochet Pattern

A tiny rainbow jellyfish for your keys! This mini version of the amigurumi jellyfish is quick, cute, and the perfect little gift. It works up in under an hour and uses up the smallest scraps of pastel yarn. I’ve made a whole school of them for party favors.

Same technique as the big jellyfish, just smaller — a tiny dome, a few curly tentacles, and a keyring. Instant charm for your bag or keys.

Round 2: 2 SC in each stitch around. (12 SC)

Change to mint.

Round 3: *SC in the next stitch, 2 SC in the next stitch,* repeat around. (18 SC)

Change to lavender.

Round 4: *SC in the next 2 stitches, 2 SC in the next stitch,* repeat around. (24 SC)

Round 5: SC in each stitch around. (24 SC)

Round 6 (close): SC2tog around. (12 SC) Stuff lightly.

Round 7: SC2tog around. (6 SC) Fasten off, closing the hole.

Mini Tentacles (make 6)

With any pastel color, Ch 15. Work 2 SC in each chain back. Fasten off with a long tail. Make 6 in mixed colors.

Face and Assembly

Embroider two tiny eyes and a smile with dark thread. Sew the tentacles around the bottom of the dome. Attach the keyring to the top of the dome with a sturdy yarn loop (Ch 6, slip stitch to form a loop, sew securely).

Weave in all ends.

Sophie’s Tips

  • Embroider the face BEFORE attaching the tentacles — much easier to reach.
  • Reinforce the keyring loop with a few extra stitches; keychains get yanked.
  • Make them in school colors for the cutest team gifts.

Tiny, mighty, adorable — the perfect little gift!
