# Sage Green Boho Lace Dress Free Crochet Pattern
If you love that free-spirited boho look, this dress was made for you. Flowing lace, soft sage green, and a relaxed fit that moves when you move — it is the kind of piece that makes you feel effortlessly pretty. I picture it with boots and layered necklaces, maybe a floppy hat if you are feeling fancy.
The lace pattern looks intricate but it is really just a simple repeat you will memorize by the second round. The whole dress is worked top-down in one piece, so when you try it on and love the length, you just… keep going. Or stop. Your call, your dress!

What You’ll Need
- Fingering weight (#2) yarn in sage green: approx. 1,600 yds (a cotton-acrylic blend works beautifully)
- Size F-5 (3.75 mm) crochet hook
- Stitch markers
- Tapestry needle
Finished size:
- Women’s size M — bust 38 inches (relaxed fit), length 40 inches from shoulder
- The lace is stretchy and forgiving
The Pattern
Yoke
Chain 96, join with sl st to form a ring.

Rnd 1: Ch 1, sc in each ch around, join. (96 sc)
Rnd 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in each st around, join. (96 dc)
Rnd 3 (increase): Ch 3, \*dc in next 5 sts, 2 dc in next st; repeat from \* around, join. (112 dc)
Rnd 4: Ch 4 (counts as dc, ch 1), skip 1 st, \*dc in next st, ch 1, skip 1 st; repeat from \* around, join. (56 dc, 56 ch-1 spaces)
Rnd 5: Repeat Rnd 4.
Rnd 6 (divide for sleeves): Work the mesh pattern across the first 32 spaces (front), chain 12 for the underarm, skip 16 spaces (sleeve), work mesh across 32 spaces (back), chain 12, skip 16 spaces (sleeve), join. Continue in mesh rounds.
Body Lace
Mesh rounds: Sl st into the first ch-1 space, ch 4, \*dc in next ch-1 space (or chain space), ch 1; repeat from \* around, join. Work 8 mesh rounds even.
Lace flare rounds: Now we grow the skirt. Every 6th round, work 2 dc in every 8th ch-1 space to gently increase. Continue until the dress measures 38 inches from the shoulder, or your desired length.
Shell edging: \*5 dc in next ch-1 space, sl st in next ch-1 space; repeat from \* around, join. Fasten off.
Sleeves (make 2)
Join yarn at the underarm. Work mesh rounds around the 16 skipped spaces plus the 12 underarm chains for 10 rounds, then finish with the shell edging. Fasten off.
Neckline
Join yarn at the neck edge and work 2 rounds of sc for a clean finish. Fasten off and weave in all ends.
Sophie’s Tips
- Fingering weight yarn makes the lace drape like a dream — resist the urge to go chunky on this one.
- Count your spaces after every increase round. Lace is forgiving, but a dropped space will show.
- This dress loves a gentle hand wash and flat dry to keep the lace crisp.
Float through your day feeling like the best version of yourself — that is the boho way!
