# Butter Yellow Romantic Crochet Set Free Crochet Pattern
A matching set will always make me feel put-together, even on days when I absolutely am not. This butter yellow duo — a sweet cropped top and a swishy lace-hemmed skirt — is my idea of romance in crochet form. The color is like softened sunshine: warm and happy without shouting.
Both pieces are simple half double crochet with pretty shell-and-picot edgings doing all the decorative heavy lifting. Wear them together for the full effect, or mix and match — the top is adorable with jeans, and the skirt pairs beautifully with a plain white tee.

Thread the elastic through the waistband rounds if desired, or simply rely on the SC waistband’s gentle stretch. Weave in all ends.
Sophie’s Tips
- Try the top tube on before adding the straps — you can easily add or remove a round to get your perfect crop length.
- The skirt’s increases are placed to give a gentle A-line; for more twirl, add one more increase round before the lace hem.
- This set in sage green or dusty rose is equally dreamy — the pattern loves soft colors.
Made to match, made to love — enjoy every wear!
