Peach Blossom Baby Dress Free Crochet Pattern

Peach blossom baby dress

# Peach Blossom Baby Dress Free Crochet Pattern

This is the dress I picture when someone says “baby shower gift.” Soft peachy-pink, a gently flared skirt with a scalloped hem, and the sweetest little peach blossoms scattered across the yoke. It’s delicate without being fussy, and the top-down raglan construction means there are no seams to irritate baby skin — just one smooth, soft little dress.

I worked this one in DK yarn so it has a lovely drape but still works up quickly. The blossoms are simple five-petal appliques that take minutes each, and you can add as many or as few as you like. Three across the yoke is my sweet spot.

The Pattern

All stitches use US crochet terms. Join each round with a slip stitch. The chain 1 at the start of a single crochet round does not count as a stitch.

Peach Blossoms (make 3)

Petals: With cream, make a magic ring. *Chain 2, 2 double crochet in the ring, chain 2, slip stitch in the ring; repeat from * 4 more times for 5 petals. Pull the ring closed, join, and fasten off.

Center: With yellow, make a magic ring, 6 single crochet in the ring, join, and fasten off. Sew one yellow center onto each blossom.

Sew the three blossoms across the front yoke of the dress, spacing them evenly just below the neckline.

Weave in all ends and block lightly so the skirt falls smoothly.

Sophie’s Tips

  • The raglan yoke is very forgiving on sizing — if the neckline feels snug, go up a hook size for the first three rounds only, then switch back.
  • Make a few extra blossoms and keep them in your notions bag; they’re the perfect quick applique for hats, booties, and blankets too.
  • For a dressier look, work the scalloped hem in a sparkly cream yarn — just just a touch of shimmer at the hemline is gorgeous in photos.

Soft as a peach, sweet as can be — happy crocheting, friend!
