# Granny Square Patchwork Baby Dress Free Crochet Pattern

Patchwork has never been this sweet. This baby dress is made of colorful pastel granny squares joined into the skirts, with a simple white yoke on top — it’s like a little quilt she can wear. I made it from leftover pastel yarns and it turned out so charming that I immediately started a second one.
The squares are tiny and quick (you’ll fly through them), the yoke is basic double crochet, and the joining is the relaxing part. Perfect for using up all those pastel scraps.

Pastel pink, mint, lavender, butter yellow, and baby blue — every scrap in the pastel family went into this dress. The white yoke keeps it from being too busy.

Sophie’s Tips
- Mix the pastels randomly — the charm is in the scrappy unpredictability.
- Block the squares before joining so the skirt hangs evenly.
- This dress in brights is a whole different (equally adorable) mood.
A little quilt she can wear — patchwork perfection!
