# Mint Meadow Boho Toddler Set Free Crochet Pattern
There is something about a tiny boho outfit that just melts me. This mint meadow set — a breezy little top with scalloped edges and matching bloomer shorts — is the outfit I wish came in my size. It’s worked in soft mint green with cream trim, and the whole thing has that relaxed festival feel without a single fussy seam.
I designed it for a 2T (toddler, chest about 21 inches), and it’s a quick weekend make: the top is a simple top-down raglan, and the bloomers are just rounds of double crochet with a stretchy waistband. My favorite part is the cream shell edging — it makes everything look fancy while being dead simple to work.

What You’ll Need
- DK weight (#3) cotton or cotton-blend yarn: approximately 350 yards mint green and 120 yards cream
- Size G (4.0 mm) crochet hook
- 3/4-inch wide elastic, about 20 inches long, for the bloomer waistband
- Tapestry needle and stitch markers
Finished size:
- Toddler 2T — top chest 21 inches, top length 10 inches
- Bloomers waist 19–22 inches (with elastic), inseam 4 inches
The Pattern
Boho Top — Yoke
With mint green yarn, chain 56. Join with a slip stitch to form a ring, being careful not to twist.

Round 1: Chain 3 (counts as DC), DC in next 15 (front = 16 sts), [DC, chain 2, DC] in next stitch (raglan corner), DC in next 10 (sleeve = 10 sts), [DC, chain 2, DC] in next stitch, DC in next 15 (back = 16 sts), [DC, chain 2, DC] in next stitch, DC in next 10 (sleeve = 10 sts), [DC, chain 2, DC] in next stitch, join with slip stitch to top of chain 3. (64 DC + 4 chain-2 corners)
Rounds 2–7: Slip stitch into the chain-2 corner space. Chain 3, DC in each stitch around, working [DC, chain 2, DC] in each chain-2 corner space. Join. Each round adds 8 stitches.
After Round 7 you should have: front 28, back 28, each sleeve 22. (112 DC + corners)
Round 8 (divide for body): Chain 3, DC across front 28, chain 6 (underarm), skip sleeve 22, DC across back 28, chain 6 (underarm), skip sleeve 22, join. (68 DC)
Boho Top — Body
Rounds 9–16: Chain 3, DC in each stitch around, join. (68 DC)
Switch to cream yarn.
Round 17 (scalloped edge): Chain 1, [skip 2 stitches, 5 DC in next stitch, skip 2 stitches, SC in next stitch] repeat around, join with slip stitch. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Boho Top — Sleeves
Join mint yarn at the center of one underarm chain.
Round 1: Chain 3, DC evenly around the armhole (22 sleeve stitches + 6 underarm chains = 28 DC), join. (28 DC)
Round 2: Chain 3, DC in each stitch around, join. (28 DC)
Switch to cream yarn and work one scallop round exactly like Round 17 of the body. Repeat for the second sleeve.
Bloomer Shorts
With mint green yarn, chain 60. Join into a ring.
Rounds 1–6: Chain 3, DC in each stitch around, join. (60 DC)
This forms the waistband casing area. Fold the top edge down later for the elastic, or work the elastic in now — your call.
Round 7: Chain 3, [DC in next 4 stitches, decrease over next 2 stitches] repeat around, join. (50 DC)
Rounds 8–10: Chain 3, DC in each stitch around, join. (50 DC)
Divide for legs: Chain 3, DC in next 24 stitches (25 DC counting the chain), chain 2, skip 25 stitches, join to the first DC of the round. You now have two leg openings of 27 stitches each.
Leg 1: Chain 3, DC in each stitch around the opening (27 DC), join. Work 3 more rounds of DC. Switch to cream and work one scallop round like the top edging, adjusted: [skip 2, 5 DC in next, skip 2, SC in next] around. Fasten off.
Repeat for Leg 2.
Finishing
Thread the elastic through the folded waistband of the bloomers and sew the ends together, then stitch the casing closed. Weave in all ends. Block lightly if you like a crisp scallop edge — I just lay mine flat overnight.
Sophie’s Tips
- Cotton or a cotton blend is my pick for toddler clothes — it’s breathable, washable, and doesn’t pill the way acrylic can after a dozen playground sessions.
- Try the top on your little model (or a stuffed stand-in) after Round 7 of the yoke. Every toddler is built differently, and it’s easy to add or skip a body round.
- The scallop edging eats more yarn than you’d think — I nearly ran out of cream on the second sleeve, so keep that 120-yard estimate honest.
A tiny festival-ready outfit, made with love and finished before naptime ends. My favorite kind of project!
